TESTIMONIALS

Hi Bryce,

I wanted to let you know that I have lost over 30 lbs since starting with you last December, and I am finally, FINALLY back to my “pre-baby” weight (which I haven’t seen in almost 5 years). My goals now are: 1) not to re-gain weight over the holidays, and 2) try for another 10 lbs of weight loss (that would get me to “wedding dress” weight, which I haven’t seen in over 13 years…) I haven’t had this much energy in a long time, and I have much more strength and endurance than I think I have ever had, so thanks!

Hello, Bryce!

I wanted to tell you that John and I just returned from 3 weeks in Italy. Words cannot describe how I feel, because it was so much more than we had ever hoped or dreamed it would be.

And you made a big part of that possible. We literally walked 6 to 10 miles everyday! From cobble-stoned streets, to hiking in the Dolomites, to walking the Cinque Terre trails. And stairs…..I can’t begin to tell you how many we climbed and climbed! From flights in museums, to rooftops, up towers, to cities on cliffs, to carrying my suitcase up and down hotel steps!

Even with all the delicious food we ate, sometimes 4 courses!, and all the wine, with lunch AND dinner!!!!!, I managed to come home a pound lighter than when I left :)

Thank you, for getting me in the shape to be able to do all this, without a care or a complaint. Except for bus time, from city to city, we walked everywhere, every day. It was, ‘one foot in front of the other’! And glad to do it, as there was always somewhere to see, and no time to rest :)

now that I am home, I long to walk more. The stairs, in Happy Valley, don’t look as terrible as they used to!!

Thank you,

Debe Curtin

Hi Bryce:

I wanted to tell you how much I’ve enjoyed boot camp these last two months…I’ve seen a huge difference in my body. Lost over 19″ and one pants size. While I still have a long way to go, the boot camp gave me a solid foundation and made me realize that I can exercise, perhaps not to the level of some of the other ladies, but every day I challenged myself to do my personal best, which is a huge victory for me.

Sam is an absolutely awesome instructor. We really liked the way he started with the overall body warmups and then into the daily plan. He’s got a great sense of humor, is quick to find an alternative to an exercise when you need to improvise due to body limitations. He’s a real asset to your company and I wanted to let you know that.

Hi Bryce!
I miss you.  I’ve joined ******* as it is near my home.  Their east facility is about 4 minutes from my house.  Already I’ve hurt my hip flexor…they don’t have what I feel is an adequate warm-up for my 60-year old body… I learned from you how important that is, and I will have to do it on my own before class.
I miss your personal directions and corrections, and I just plain miss YOU!  I also very much miss the other ladies.  So pleasant and friendly.  It’s just not the same at a big club, but I knew it would not be and I try to count the “good” things…such as the close proximity.
You asked what you could do to improve.  Other than being outside in the park, I can’t think of anything.  You vary the work-outs so they are not boring (another thing I miss!) and you correct improper form and you give useful nutrition tips–both in person and in your blog and your newsletter.  You are upbeat and positive and you treat all your bootcampers with respect and equality.
I want you to know what you gave me Bryce.  You gave me the confidence that I can be stronger and ask more of my body that I ever thought.  You demonstrated to all of us–with our own bodies–that we CAN push ourselves.  You taught me not to give up so quickly.
Had it not been for your bootcamp, I would have quit ******* after only a few tries.  I would not have the strength to do the exercise routines.  I would not know how to do a lunge or a squat.  I would not be able to follow the instructions for the stretches.  And because of that, I would have been discouraged and felt foolish and I would have given up.
But, again, I now have the confidence to keep going.  I’m there for the cardio so I just keep moving.   But you taught me that it’s good for my brain to try different movements with my body.  And in the ******** class, I’m the only one who keeps my shoes on, but that doesn’t bother me either.  I’m there for the exercise.  I found acceptance with your group and it’s enough to spur me on.
Thank you, Bryce!

Hi Bryce-
I just got back from Nicaragua last night and I just had to send you a note.  Nicaragua was the perfect follow up to two sessions of boot camp- holy cow!  Every day I was doing all kinds of crazy physical activity and every day I was thanking my lucky stars that I went to boot camp!  We kayaked, hiked through the jungle all hours of the day and night, camped, went spelunking (whatever that word for cave exploration is), ran through the airport for connecting flights, etc., all in a sauna since it was so dang hot and humid.  It was the best time, but seriously would not have been very much fun without being in decent shape.  Anyway, thanks a bunch.

As many of you know I have been participating in a Women’s Boot camp in Oregon City every morning from 5:30-6:30….well I just had my one month “check up”….

  • I have lost a total of 8 lbs.
  • I have lost a total of 10.5 inches
  • I have gained 6.5 lbs muscle weight (very good thing)
  • I have lost 14.5 POUNDS of FAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How cool is that?!?!?!?
  • I am almost 2 sizes smaller and I feel soooooo good….

Six months ago I was going to have Gastric Bypass but kept putting it off. When I saw the ad for the Boot Camp I figured I would try “just one more time”. I thank God that I did!!!! Now I have a purpose in my life, I have an obligation every morning that I have to meet. I am also challenged. I own a Bowflex Extreme, and a very expensive clothes rack…oops I meant treadmill. I just know that when I am at home, it is easier to sleep in and say “I will do it tomorrow” well tomorrow never comes and it is still sitting there.

I also want anyone that reads this to know that I started at 250lbs, had not worked out in over 8 months, ate HORRIBLY, and had joint issues etc. It DOESN’T MATTER what size you are. The trainer works with you and you won’t be alone. There are other women that are big too. Girl you won’t be the only one. Don’t use this as an excuse. Your life and your health are too important to risk. If I can do this anyone can.

I took on the hills of Terwilliger bright and early last Sunday morning and really charged up that hill. With the strength built over the last month, I took that hill straight on with speed and power. There was no reason for even a pause. Every minute felt awesome! It felt so good to be back in control of my fitness and strength levels. Thanks for all your great support!

I really enjoy the flexibility of your program to be individualized while still allowing us to remain part of the group. I think it’s awesome that you give us ways to increase and/or simplify exercise to accommodate each individual better. I think you’ve done an awesome job of putting something together that makes us feel like individuals and part of a group rather than cattle (the way you feel in most classes). You also vary the daily routine, keep it fun and upbeat. There is definitely nothing monotonous about our workouts with you which it makes it much easier to keep coming back and stick with the program.
